Job summary

Atom Lifts India Pvt Ltd in Chennai seeks an Elevator Design Engineer with 5 years of experience in engineering design or CAD drafting. You will develop GADs and shaft layouts for various elevator systems and ensure designs meet customer specs and company standards.

Work closely with Sales, Survey, Production, Installation and Project teams to deliver accurate, compliant drawings and support successful project execution.

Qualifications

• Experience in engineering design or CAD drafting for elevators.
• Prepare General Arrangement Drawings (GADs) for Patient/Lift types including passenger, home, hospital, goods, hydraulic, MRL, and machine room elevators.
• Coordinate with Sales, Survey, Production, Installation and Project teams to ensure designs are accurate and compliant.

Responsibilities

• Design shaft layouts, pit details, overhead clearances, machine room layouts.
• Prepare fabrication drawings and ensure they meet customer specifications and company standards.
• Review site surveys and incorporate site dimensions into drawings.
• Collaborate with Installation, Production and Commissioning teams to resolve design issues.

Atom Lifts India Pvt Ltd is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Elevator Design Engineer to join our Engineering & Design team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing General Arrangement Drawings (GADs), shaft layout drawings, fabrication drawings, and technical documentation for elevator projects. The role requires close coordination with the Sales, Survey, Production, Installation, and Project teams to ensure every design is accurate, compliant, and optimized for smooth project execution.

Requirements

• Prepare General Arrangement Drawings (GADs) for Passenger Lifts, Home Lifts, Hospital Lifts, Goods Lifts, Hydraulic Lifts, MRL, and Machine Room Elevators.
• Design shaft layouts, pit details, overhead clearances, machine room layouts, and entrance details.
• Prepare fabrication and manufacturing drawings for production.
• Ensure all drawings comply with customer specifications and company design standards.
• Coordinate with the Sales Team to understand customer requirements.
• Review site survey reports and incorporate site dimensions into drawings.
• Work closely with Installation, Production, and Commissioning teams to resolve technical design issues.
