Job summary

Atom Lifts India Pvt Ltd is seeking an experienced Elevator Troubleshooting Engineer to join the Service & Maintenance team in Chennai. You will diagnose and resolve complex elevator faults, attend repeat breakdowns, support field service engineers, and ensure permanent fault rectification.

You will work with elevator controllers, electrical and mechanical systems, and advanced troubleshooting techniques to maximize reliability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and repairing elevator faults.
• Ability to diagnose electrical, mechanical and controller-related issues.
• Perform root cause analysis to prevent recurring problems.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and restore operation safely.

Responsibilities

• Attend callback complaints and recurring elevator faults.
• Diagnose complex electrical, mechanical, and controller issues.
• Perform RCA to identify recurring problems and implement fixes.
• Ensure permanent fault rectification to reduce repeat service calls.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and critical customer issues.
• Restore elevator operation safely and efficiently.
• Escalate major technical issues to the Technical Manager when required.
• Support field teams during complex troubleshooting activities.
• Configure and troubleshoot elevator controllers, VFDs, ARD systems, encoders, and safety circuits.
• Verify controller parameters and optimize elevator performance.
• Diagnose faults in electrical wiring, communication systems, and safety devices.
• Update software and parameters where applicable.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving complex elevator faults, attending repeat breakdowns (callback complaints), supporting field service engineers, and ensuring permanent fault rectification. This role requires strong expertise in elevator controllers, electrical and mechanical systems, and advanced troubleshooting techniques to maximize elevator reliability and customer satisfaction.
