Job summary

Mobis India in Chennai seeks a skilled maintenance engineer to perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance on industrial machines. You will diagnose electrical, PLC, and automation issues, restore equipment with minimal downtime, and analyze root causes for lasting fixes.

The role requires reading electrical drawings and PLC logic, with hands-on wiring and panel maintenance as needed. A BE/B.Tech is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in B.E./B.Tech is required.
• Experience with reading electrical drawings and PLC logic is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of industrial machines and equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, PLC, control panel, sensor, VFD, servo motor, and automation-related issues.
• Independently handle machine breakdowns and restore equipment to operational condition with minimum downtime.
• Analyse root causes of recurring machine failures and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor and maintain PLC-controlled machines and automation systems.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and PLC logic diagrams.
• Perform wiring, panel maintenance, component replacement, and electrical modifications when required.
