Job description

Deepak Group is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineering professional to lead the design, engineering, construction, and commissioning of electrical systems for Greenfield and Brownfield capital projects across multiple locations. The role will be responsible for delivering safe, reliable, compliant, and technically robust electrical infrastructure while coordinating with internal stakeholders, EPCM consultants, contractors, and vendors throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Electrical Design & Engineering:

• Review and approve Electrical System Design Basis, Technical Specifications, Sizing Calculations, Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), Layouts, RFQs, Tender Documents, Contracts, BOQs, and project deliverables.
• Review and approve design documents for Low Voltage Systems (LVS), including:
• Fire Alarm Systems
• CCTV Systems
• IT & LAN Networks
• Telephony Systems
• Public Address Systems
• Attendance & Access Control Systems
• Review data sheets, technical specifications, and sizing calculations for electrical equipment and systems.
• Ensure optimum selection and procurement of electrical equipment such as Transformers, DG Sets, HT/LT Panels, MCC/PCC Panels, APFC Systems, Busbars, Cables, Cable Trays, Lighting Systems, and associated accessories.

Project Execution & Construction Management:

• Lead electrical engineering activities across Conceptual Design, FEED, Detailed Engineering, Construction, Mechanical Completion, Commissioning, and Project Closeout stages.
• Coordinate with EPCM consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
• Review 3D models, cable routing layouts, cable tray layouts, hook-up diagrams, and MTOs.
• Ensure workfront availability, drawing readiness, and timely clearances for uninterrupted site execution.
• Develop and review project schedules, construction plans, and execution strategies.

Site Quality & Commissioning:

• Ensure compliance with project specifications, QAPs, ITPs, and quality management plans.
• Monitor installation, testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.
• Conduct quality reviews and ensure adherence to safety and statutory requirements.
• Ensure timely resolution of technical and construction issues while minimizing project delays.

Contracts, Costing & Documentation:

• Prepare BOQs, rate analysis, tender documents, and support vendor finalization activities.
• Review contractor bills, measurement records, project documentation, and progress reports.
• Maintain complete project records, drawings, correspondence, and technical documents.

Stakeholder & Team Management:

• Lead and mentor multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Drive coordination among contractors, consultants, vendors, and project teams.
• Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly project review meetings.
• Ensure timely availability of manpower, materials, and machinery resources for project execution.

Education Qualification:

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from AICTE-approved institutions and/or UGC-recognized universities.

Experience:

• 14 to 16 years of experience in Chemical, Petrochemical, Oil & Gas, Refinery, Power, or Process Industry projects.
• Experience in handling large-scale Greenfield and Brownfield projects with project values ranging between INR 1,000 Million to INR 2,000 Million.
• Experience working with Client Organizations, EPCM Consultants, or EPC Companies.

Technical Competencies:

• Expertise in Electrical System Design and Engineering.
• Extensive experience in FEED, Detailed Engineering, Construction & Commissioning.
• Expertise in Transformer Sizing, Cable Sizing, Earthing Design, Lighting Design, Voltage Drop Calculations, DG Systems, APFC Systems, MCC/PCC Panels, and HT/LT Systems.
• Strong understanding of Hazardous Area Classification, Process Safety, HAZOP, QRA, SIL Studies, and related compliance requirements.
• Knowledge of Electrical & LVS standards including NEC, NFPA, NBC, IEC, ATEX, IS Codes, and Hazardous Area Standards.
• Experience in quality audits, testing, pre-commissioning, mechanical completion, and commissioning activities.
