Job summary

Walex Engineering Services Pvt Ltd is seeking a skilled Electrical/ Electronics engineer to design basic electrical control panels with PLC systems and to prepare BOMs from SLD and system architecture.

The role involves interfacing with clients, vendors and subcontractors for technical clarifications, preparing panel drawings, FDS, logic flow diagrams and test procedures, and configuring, programming and commissioning PLC panels. Experience with BMS/SCADA and various PLC platforms is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in control panel design and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience in PLC configuration and I/O sizing.
• Proficient in ladder logic programming for various PLCs.
• Experience with RS232/RS485/TCP/IP protocols.
• Ability to interface with VFDs and perform commissioning.

Responsibilities

Job description

Basic electrical control panel design with PLC system

Prepare BOM List based on the SLD & System Architecture

Interface with clients, Vendors & subcontractors for technical clarification.

Prepare & Submit panel drawings as required

Prepare FDS, Logic Flow Diagram, Test procedures etc

Configure, Program and T&C of PLC panels

Interface with High level control system such as BMS / SCADA, other equipment

Perform troubleshooting of control panels at factory / project site

Any other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Diploma/Degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering

More than 3 years of experience in related field

Must have hands‑on experience in Control panel troubleshooting

Able to select / size the PLC configuration (including Remote I/O) based on project requirement, number of I/O points etc.

Hands‑on experience in RS232, RS485, TCP/IP communication protocols

Must be able to write application programs in Ladder logic, Statement List for PLC such as Omron (CX-Programmer & Sysmac Studio), Allan Bradley (Studio5000), Siemens (SIMATIC Manager, TIA Portal, Step 7 Micro WIN SMART & PCS7), Schneider (EcoStruxure Control Expert) etc.

Able to Interface with VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) & Commissioning Experience.

Able to Interface with High Level control system such as BMS / SCADA, other equipment, PC based system etc.

Able to prepare necessary Functional Design Specifications (FDS), Logic Flow Diagrams, Test procedures

Able to carry out the T&C of PLC panels

Able to Coordinate with System integrators & third‑party contractors on new implementations & system changes.

Able to do site testing and commissioning

HMI graphics (Wonderware, Siemens, Schneider, AB, etc) development experience will be advantageous
