Job summary

Upman Placements is seeking an experienced dispatch management professional to oversee end-to-end operations for precast concrete product deliveries. The role involves daily truck planning, stockyard organization, product verification, loading oversight, SAP updates, and supervising a team to ensure safe, accurate, and timely deliveries.

You will coordinate crane/hydra/forklift operations, maintain dispatch records, and collaborate with QA, Production, Stores, and Sales to meet client

Responsibilities

• Daily Planning & Target Execution: Plan and supervise daily truck allocations, monitor vehicle in/out times, track loading start and completion times, and resolve operational issues to meet daily dispatch targets.
• Stockyard & Loading Operations: Verify product locations, quantities, and dimensions in the stockyard before instructing crane, hydra, and forklift operators on loading activities.
• System & Administrative Documentation: Coordinate with Head Office for Pick Lists and Advice Lists, process SAP updates, maintain dispatch records (tonnage, vehicle checklists, returnable/non-returnable goods), and handle invoice documents for audit compliance.
• Quality & Store Coordination: Inspect products for damage prior to dispatch, arrange necessary repair materials from Stores, and coordinate with Production and Quality teams for product availability, repairs, and rejections.
• Packaging & Material Protection: Inspect lifting tools and accessories for safety, ensure proper cargo securing, and manage packing materials such as sandbags, rubber cushions, and wooden planks to prevent damage during transport.
• Inventory & Yard Maintenance: Support stock counting, product stacking, stockyard housekeeping, and monitor packing material stock levels for timely replenishment.
• Inter-Departmental Communication: Work alongside Accounts, Stores, Security, and Sales teams to fulfill client requirements and handle dispatch paperwork.
• Safety & Team Supervision: Supervise workers and junior staff, enforce site safety guidelines during loading, provide guidance, and maintain overall yard compliance.
