Job summary

JSW Steel in Tarapur, Maharashtra seeks a logistics supervisor with 3-8 years of experience in a large manufacturing setup. You will manage dispatch operations, ensure on-time vehicle placement, and generate SAP reports.

You will coordinate with transporters, enforce delivery schedules, and handle billing with the GBS/accounts. This role requires strong communication and a proactive, team-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Diploma / B.Sc / B.Com with 3-8 yrs in large manufacturing.
• Experience in logistics/dispatch and SAP reporting.
• Strong customer focus, problem solving, teamwork and communication.

Responsibilities

• Achieve dispatch target as per Annual Business Plan.
• Place vehicles within 48 hrs of shipment.
• Prepare transit reports for each transporter.
• Develop new reports through SAP system.
• Submit bills from Logistics to GBS within 6 days of receipt.

Key Result Areas (Key Performance Indicators)

• Availability and monitoring of available DO to achieve ABP.
• Material should be dispatched as per mkt priority, financial arrangement.
• To impose penalty on transporters as per Terms and Condition of Contract.
• To open the station where truck is not placed from Open market.
• To maximize dispatches through containers in domestic market.
• To conduct reverse auction as and when required.

Critical Tasks

• Achievement of Dispatch target as per Annual Business Plan.
• Vehicle placement within 48 hrs of issuing shipment.
• Transit report form each Transporter.
• Develop new reports through SAP system.
• Submission of bills from Logistics to GBS within 6 days of receipt of bills.
• ISO Documentation.

Decision making authority (Decisions expected)

• Disciplinary actions against incidents with wrong shipment person,
• Training interventions in sync with subordinates.
