Job summary

Progressive Techserve is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer in Mumbai to provide hands-on technical support for Windows 10/11 environments, MS Office and O365, and LAN/WAN connectivity. You will handle printers, scanners, backups, and remote assistance, while ensuring SLA performance.

The role requires 2–5 years of experience, a willingness to work a 9 AM–6 PM shift, 6 days a week, and to operate from the UTI Tower address in Mumbai.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of hands-on desktop support experience.
• Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, MS Office and O365.
• Experience with LAN/WAN and network printers.
• VPN issues troubleshooting and general ticket handling.
• Remote Desktop and Remote Assistance proficiency.
• Excellent ticketing and SLA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Installing and administering network print server.
• Managing backups and restoration of data.
• Familiar with MS-OFFICE, O365 and related tools.
• Experience with LAN, WAN and printers/scanners.
• Create and manage support tickets; ensure SLA adherence.
• Resolve VPN issues and troubleshoot PC/Laptop problems.
• Install/upgrade hardware and software; driver updates.
• Remote server administration via VNC/Remote Desktop.

• Installing additional software tools, service packs and others, Configuring and Troubleshooting the Network Printer Issues.
• Achieved 95% accuracy in resolving user tickets and reduced service restoration time by 45%.
• Proficiently handle P1, P2, and P3 tickets, consistently meeting SLA deadlines for timely resolution.
• Knowledge on Remote Desktop and Remote Assistance.
• Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls.
• Upgrade systems with new releases and models, Configuration and troubleshooting of MS-Outlook Clients.
• Providing solutions for problems with network printers, network connectivity, and hardware and software problems.
• Take over all ownership of all user calls logged and ensuring resolution of calls within SLA.
• Remote Server Administration through VNC, Remote Desktop Connection , Bit Locker , Mapping of n/w drive
