Job summary

ITC Infotech is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer in Kolkata/Gurgaon with 1.5–2 years of IT support experience. You will provide L1/L2 desktop support, install and troubleshoot Windows desktops, manage Office 365/Outlook, and handle network issues along with asset management.

The role requires immediate joiners and work from office, with in‑person or virtual interviews. Relevant Diploma/Bachelor's in CS/IT preferred.

Qualifications

• 1.5-2 years of Desktop Support/ IT Support experience.
• Familiarity with Windows 10/11 troubleshooting and basic networking.

Responsibilities

• Provide L1/L2 desktop and technical support to users.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows desktops/laptops.
• Troubleshoot hardware issues with desktops, laptops, printers, scanners and peripherals.
• Install and configure software, drivers, and security updates.
• Troubleshoot LAN, Wi‑Fi, VPN, Internet, and basic network issues.
• Manage user accounts, password resets, and access-related issues.
• Support Microsoft Office 365/Office apps, Outlook, Teams, and related tools.
• Perform OS installation, imaging, patching, and routine maintenance.
• Diagnose and resolve printer and peripheral issues.
• Maintain IT asset/inventory records.
• Log/track/close incidents via IT ticketing system.
• Escalate complex issues to infra/app teams.

• Prepare basic technical documentation and troubleshooting records.

• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Office/Office 365 and Outlook.
• Knowledge of desktop/laptop hardware troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting printers and other peripherals.
• Familiarity with IT ticketing/helpdesk tools.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to provide both remote and on-site support.

Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
