Job summary

Detroit Engineered Products (DEP) seeks an experienced CAD Engineer to design and develop interior trims using Catia V5. You will contribute to new product development, coordinate with overseas customers, and work with Teamcenter and related tools.

The role requires strong part modelling skills, an understanding of manufacturing processes, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment. Knowledge of BIW/Sheet metal is a plus.

Qualifications

• Excellent Catia V5 skills for part modelling, GSD and assembly workbench.
• Experience in design and development of interior parts.
• Knowledge of product and manufacturing processes.
• Good communication to interact with overseas customers, program stakeholders and suppliers.
• Able to work on interior parts independently and handle parts & interior commodity.

Responsibilities

• Interact with overseas customers and stakeholders to gather requirements.
• Design and develop interior parts from concept to release.
• Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams across streams.
• Adapt to dynamic project requirements and challenging environments.

• Ability to work /handle parts & interior commodity Independently.
• Able to interact, analyze and create parts as per design Rules & requirements.
• Good Team Player and flexible to work in any streams of work as per dynamic requirement that may change from time to time.
• Should be able to understand and willing to work under any challenging and tough environments.
• Knowledge on Teamcenter/Vismockup is an added advantage.
• Knowledge on BIW/Sheet metal would be an added advantage.
