Job summary

Detroit Engineered Products (DEP) in Chennai seeks a skilled CAD engineer to design and develop interior trim components for automotive applications. You will work with Catia V5, handle engineering change notices, and coordinate CAD updates with suppliers and engineering teams.

The role requires strong communication, client-facing interaction across time zones, and familiarity with Ford processes as an advantage.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in Catia V5 is essential, including Part Modeling, Surface Design, Assembly & Drafting.
• Good presentation and communication skills.
• Experience with Ford processes/tools is an advantage.
• Proficient problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and development of interior trim parts in an automobile.
• Work on Engineering Change Notices and update CAD design in Catia V5 as per directions.
• Liaise with suppliers and engineering to facilitate CAD release within the specified timing.
• Check the quality of the CAD provided by the supplier.
• To support and validate geometric integration of the CAD at the vehicle level.
• Extensive interaction with customers internationally across time zones.
