Job summary

Agastya Green Energy is seeking a Design Head to lead the Design & Engineering function for Solar EPC and BESS projects in Noida. You will oversee concept through detailed engineering and IFC stages, ensuring technical excellence and schedule adherence.

The candidate will have 12+ years in Solar EPC/Renewable energy, with hands-on experience in designing 500+ MW projects and BESS systems, and will coordinate across clients, consultants, and suppliers.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in Solar EPC / Renewable Energy / Power projects.
• Proven experience designing a 500+ MW Solar EPC project.
• Hands-on experience in BESS design/engineering.
• End-to-end Solar EPC design & engineering knowledge.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Design Head to lead the Design & Engineering function for Solar EPC and BESS projects.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in large-scale Solar EPC project design, with proven exposure to designing a 500+ MW Solar EPC project, along with experience in BESS design and engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the complete Design & Engineering activities for Solar EPC and BESS projects.
• Manage design from concept/basic engineering through detailed engineering and IFC stage.
• Lead the design of large-scale Solar PV projects, including:
  • Plant Layout & PV System Design
  • DC & AC System Design
  • Electrical SLDs
  • Module & Inverter Configuration
  • Cable Sizing & Routing
  • Transformer & Switchgear Design
  • Earthing & Lightning Protection
  • SCADA & Communication Interface
  • Civil & Structural Design Coordination
• Lead and review BESS design and engineering, including Battery System, PCS, EMS, Transformers, Switchgear, SCADA and auxiliary systems.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, equipment suppliers, vendors and internal project teams.
• Review and approve drawings, calculations, technical specifications and engineering documents.
• Ensure designs meet applicable IS/IEC standards, grid requirements and project specifications.
• Provide technical solutions to optimize project cost, performance, constructability and timelines.
• Identify and resolve design-related issues during engineering and project execution.
• Lead, mentor and develop the in-house design and engineering team.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience: 12+ years in Solar EPC / Renewable Energy / Power Projects.
• Mandatory: Proven experience in the design/engineering of a 500+ MW Solar EPC project.
• Mandatory: Hands-on experience in BESS design/engineering.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end Solar EPC design and engineering.
• Experience in managing multidisciplinary design/engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of electrical design, PV plant design and engineering coordination.
• Experience in client and consultant technical discussions.
• Candidates from Solar EPC / Renewable Energy / BESS / Power Infrastructure companies preferred.
