Job summary

Processautometa Llp is seeking a Solar & BESS Design Engineer in Bengaluru to support rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV projects, including BESS sizing, BOQs, and electrical layouts using industry tools. You will generate arrays, SLDs, energy yield reports, BOMs, and assist in techno-commercial evaluations for hybrid solar-storage proposals.

Requirements include 6+ years' experience, proficiency in AutoCAD, PVsyst, Helioscope, and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in solar PV design and simulation, including exposure to BESS sizing and design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, PVsyst, MS Excel, and basic electrical design tools.
• Understanding of PV modules, inverters, and BoS components.

Responsibilities

• Create solar PV system designs including array layout, SLDs, and energy yield reports.
• Use software tools such as AutoCAD, PVsyst, and Helioscope to simulate and validate designs.
• Prepare accurate BOMs/BOQs and project documentation for execution.
• Perform site feasibility analysis using survey data, satellite imagery, and shading analysis.
• Coordinate with procurement and project teams for design validation and updates.
• Optimize system performance by proposing efficient component placement and sizing.
• Design and size BESS (capacity, C-rate, PCS/inverter, AC/DC coupling).
• Support techno‑commercial evaluation of hybrid solar-plus‑storage proposals.

We are seeking a technically skilled Solar & BESS Design Engineer to support our project design team. The candidate should have 6+ years of experience in preparing rooftop and ground‑mounted solar PV system designs, BOQs, and electrical layouts (including BESS) using industry‑standard tools and software.

Key Responsibilities

• Familiarity with DISCOM regulations and MNRE technical standards.
• Prior experience in net‑metered or hybrid solar systems.
• Prior BESS design experience and familiarity with IEC 62619/62933, NFPA 855, UL 9540.
