Waaree Renewable Technologies is looking for a Lead Electrical Designer to oversee the design and development of Solar PV Plants across India. The role involves preparation of electrical layouts and coordination with various teams to ensure project success.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in Solar Electrical Design and relevant tools such as PVsyst and AutoCAD. Team handling capabilities are essential for this position, focusing on utility-scale projects and renewable energy.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Solar Electrical Design.
• Hands-on expertise with PVsyst, AutoCAD, and ETAP.
• Team handling experience is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Rooftop & Ground Mounted Solar PV Plants.
• Prepare and review AC/DC SLDs, Electrical layouts, and Cable routing layouts.
• Perform shadow analysis and tilt/pitch optimization.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical & client teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and development of Rooftop & Ground Mounted Solar PV Plants
• Preparation & review of:
  • AC/DC SLDs
  • Electrical layouts
  • Cable routing layouts
  • Earthing & lightning layouts
  • Evacuation system layouts
• Perform:
  • Shadow analysis
  • Tilt/Pitch optimization
  • Cable sizing & system calculations
  • Electrical equipment sizing
• Design coordination up to Grid/Substation connectivity
• Work on utility‑scale projects including BESS integration
• Lead and manage a team of electrical designers/draftsmen
• Coordinate with execution, civil, mechanical & client teams

Required Skills:

• Strong experience in Solar Electrical Design
• Hands‑on expertise in:
  • PVsyst
  • AutoCAD
  • ETAP
• Knowledge of HT/LT systems and Solar EPC projects
• Experience handling large MW‑scale projects preferred
• Team handling experience is mandatory
