Job summary

BVR People Consulting in Bengaluru is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to design and develop sheet metal components and sub-assemblies using Siemens NX, and to create 3D models, 2D drawings, BOMs and assembly designs.

The role emphasizes DFMs, piping layouts, design reviews with cross-functional teams, ECN/ECO processes, and collaboration with customers to address design-related concerns and support root-cause analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering.
• Hands-on experience in Siemens NX CAD Design.
• Proficiency in sheet metal design, part modelling, assembly design, 2D drafting and BOM management.
• Strong understanding of piping design principles and system integration.
• Knowledge of GD&T, ISO and ASME drafting standards, and automotive manufacturing practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop sheet metal components, solid models and sub-assemblies using Siemens NX.
• Create and maintain sheet metal parts, 3D models, 2D manufacturing drawings, BOMs and assembly designs.
• Demonstrate strong hands-on experience in Sheet Metal Modelling and DFM.
• Develop piping layouts and ensure integration with assemblies and system requirements.
• Collaborate with Group Leaders, Project Leaders and cross-functional teams for design reviews and approvals.
• Maintain accurate design documentation and support ECN/ECO processes.
• Work with customers to understand requirements, provide technical support and address design concerns.
• Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis for customer-reported issues and product improvements.
• Be flexible to work in General, First or Second shifts.
