Job summary

RGBSI is seeking an experienced mechanical design engineer in Hyderabad to develop detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using Autodesk Inventor and SolidWorks. You will manage product data with PDM tools and perform engineering calculations to ensure strength and reliability of sheet metal, casting and machined components.

As part of a cross-functional team, you will apply GD&T, participate in ECO/ECR/ECN activities, and support prototype testing and design improvements.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and SolidWorks for part modelling, sheet metal, assemblies and drawings.
• Experience with any PDM system (SolidWorks PDM, Teamcenter, Windchill, etc.).
• Solid understanding of engineering fundamentals, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience selecting standard parts such as motors, bearings, seals and valves.
• Experience applying DFX principles and DFMEA.
• Experience in material selection, heat treatment and coating technologies.
• Hands-on experience in sheet metal design, fabrication design, welded structures, machined components and casting design.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.
• Prepare and maintain BOMs, design documentation, and technical reports.
• Support prototype development, product testing and design improvements.

Mandatory Skills

1. Strong proficiency in Autodesk Inventor & SolidWorks (Part modelling, sheet metal, Assemblies, Drawings).
2. Experience working with any PDM system (SolidWorks PDM, Teamcenter, Windchill, etc.).
3. Solid understanding of engineering fundamentals, materials, and manufacturing processes.
4. Experience in selecting standard parts like Motors, bearings, seals, valves etc.

7. Hands-on experience in:
