Job summary

Andor Tech in Bangalore (Work from Office only) is seeking a mechanical design engineer with 4–6 years of experience. The role focuses on parametric NX modelling, sheet metal work, and creating detailed manufacturing drawings for assemblies and piping routing.

Candidates should demonstrate strong GD&T knowledge, BOM/ECN experience, and cross-functional collaboration. SolidWorks PDM and Teamcenter exposure are advantageous.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of design experience in mechanical roles.
• Proficient in NX modelling and sheet metal design.
• Experience drafting manufacturing drawings in NX.
• Knowledge of GD&T, fits, tolerances and international standards.
• Experience with BOM/ECN processes and change control.
• Hands-on with Teamcenter; SolidWorks/PDM is a plus.
• Excellent communication with customers and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to explain machine mechanisms and applications.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D models and detailed drawings using NX and sheet metal tools.
• Design and modify structural assemblies and layouts.
• Develop hose and pipe routings in NX piping module.
• Collaborate with customers, engineering, and manufacturing teams.

Experience: 4 to 6 Years only

Location: Bangalore (Work from Office only)

Required Skills:

• Parametric 3D model creation using NX Modelling and Sheet metal modules.
• Detailed manufacturing drawing creation which includes Plate, Sheetmetal, Welding, Machining and Assembly drawings in NX.
• Able to design and modify Structural assemblies and layouts.
• Good knowledge of standard components like Fasteners, Hydraulic adapters, and Fittings.
• Able to create Hose and Pipe routings in NX piping module.
• Good understanding of Fits, Tolerances and GD&T.
• Knowledge of International design Standards
• Experience into BOM,ECN.
• Communicate well with customers, team members, and other business units.
• Able to describe basic machine mechanisms and their applications.
• Hands-on working experience in Teamcenter and preferable in Solidworks PDM.
• Experience in Solidworks and heavy equipment experiences are preferable.
