Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in CAD design.
• Proficiency in Siemens NX software.
• Experience with complex components, large assemblies and drawings.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills with leadership ability.
• Experience in automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Familiarity with PLM tools like Teamcenter.
• Knowledge of welding and fabrication (sheet metal) methods.

• Resolve modeling and drafting issues; interface with manufacturing for manufacturability.
• Perform geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Participate in design optimization and cost reduction initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and review 3D models, assemblies and 2D manufacturing drawings using Siemens NX software.
• Create and modify complex assemblies and components.
• Generate detailed engineering drawings and documentation.
• Collaborate with design originators to resolve discrepancies between original 3D models and final CAD designs.
• Conduct quality control checks to ensure accuracy of all designs as well as drawings.
• Review team deliverables for technical accuracy, completeness and quality. Document design process and update existing 3D models.
• Resolve complex modeling and drafting issues and provide appropriate technical solutions. Interface with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are manufacturable.
• Perform geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Participate in design optimization and cost reduction initiatives.

Work Experience

• Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 5- 8 years of experience in CAD design.
• Proficiency in Siemens NX software.
• Proven Experience in hanlding complex components, large assemblies and engineering drawings.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Experience in driving automation and continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and quality.
• Familiarity with PLM tools like Teamcenter.
• Knowledge of Welding and Fabrication (sheet metal) methodology.

Experience With GD&T And Other Detailed Standards

Experience in Wind Power Domain is highly preferred.
