Job summary

SYSTRA is seeking a senior Design Coordinator in civil structures to review, expedite and coordinate design submissions and approvals. The role ensures timely drawings at site and proactive issue-resolution with Principal design leadership.

Ideal candidates hold an IIT/NIT degree with 12+ years of experience, strong English communication, and proficiency in AutoCAD, BIM, and drawing management systems.

Qualifications

• Master in Structures; Civil Engg. from IIT or NIT.
• 12+ years of experience; minimum 6 years in a similar position.
• Excellent written and oral English communication.
• Expertise in AutoCAD, BIM, and drawing-related software.
• Drawing management systems proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Review, coordinate and expedite design submissions, approvals and clearances.
• Track and maintain record of design changes.
• Coordinate design approvals with Employer and EPC.
• Coordinate with Contractor and proof-check consultants.
• Highlight critical design issues and address them with the Principal.
• Act as Design Coordinator for quick decisions per timeline and contract conditions.
• Assist Principal Design Coordinator.
• Any other work assigned by Principal Design Coordinator (Structures).

Role & responsibilities

• Review, Coordinating & expediting the design submission0s, approvals and clearances for said disciplines and release timely of drawing submissions. Ensure that there is no delay of work at site due to absence of drawings, details, or any decisions.
• Track and maintain record of changes in design.
• Coordinate design approvals with Employer and EPC
• Contractor, Proof checking consultants.
• Highlight critical issues in design management and address them with discussion with Principal.
• Design Coordinator for quick decisions as per stipulated timeline and contract conditions.
• Assist Principal Design Coordinator.
• Any other work assign by Principal Design Coordinator (Structures).

Preferred candidate profile

• Master in Structures and Graduate in Civil Engg. from IIT or NIT.
• Minimum experience 12 Years. Minimum 6 years of experience in Similar position.
• Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
• Having Expertise in Autocad, BIM and other drawing related software. Having capability of Drawing Management Systems
• Ability to work within a culturally diverse organization, recognizing and respecting differences.
• Ability to problem solve, especially in an integrated project delivery environment, applying industry best practices.
• Self-motivated individual with outstanding leadership skills and the ability to influence without authority
• Strong leadership skills, proven ability to lead a team effort & make independent decisions and be a good troubleshooter.
