Qualifications

• M. Tech in Civil Engineering or MS/MSc in any specialization.
• 4+ years of experience in building design.
• Proficiency in BIM (Revit) and AutoCAD drafting is a plus.
• Good verbal and written English communication skills.
• Experience collaborating with design engineers, architects and drafting/BIM teams in USA and India.
• Self-motivated, collaborative team player achieving productivity within budgets and milestones.

Responsibilities

• Design engineer proficient with international codes and concrete design.
• Familiar with structural steel, Post-Tensioned, and Precast concrete design.
• Experience with high rise and large-scale projects is a plus.
• Proficient in ETABS, STAAD, SAFE, ADAPT and BIM (Revit) preferred.
• Collaborate with US and India teams of design engineers, architects and drafters.
• Review deliverables with schedulers to meet milestones and budgets.
• Ensure drawings conform to ABKJs standards and are error-free.
• Maintain clear communication among engineers, architects, schedulers and supervisors.
• QC of drawings to ensure accurate transfer of information.
• Focus on time and cost management with an organized workflow.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the company.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design Engineer Candidates should be proficient with international codes, and with concrete design.
• Familiarity with structural steel design, Post-Tensioned, Precast Concrete design Preferred.
• Experience with high rise and large-scale projects a plus point.
• Proficient in engineering software such as ETABS, STAAD, SAFE, ADAPT and BIM (Revit) preferred.
• Candidates should be highly motivated and ready to learn new methods practiced by US Standards, and willing work in a high productivity team setting.
• Working with design engineers, architects, and drafting/BIM team members based in the USA and India.
• Review deliverable with the scheduler to determine task requirements and in achieving milestones.
• Maintaining accuracy and error-free drawings by following ABKJs standards.
• Maintaining clear communication with engineers, architects, schedulers, and supervisor or subordinates in the understanding of assigned tasks/mark-ups and clarify when needed.
• Checking/QC of completed drawings to assure all information has been transferred correctly.
• Focus on achieving effective time and cost management by following an organized work process.
• Other designated related duties assigned by the company.
