The Design Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all design disciplines, risk identification, conflicts resolution, bylaw adherence and supporting execution teams by aligning design intent with site requirements. The role ensures compliance with project timelines, quality standards, specifications and cost considerations.
- Coordinate with architectural, structural, MEP, and other consultants
- Ensure timely submission and review of drawings
- Identify and resolve design clashes and discrepancies
- Ensure issuance of GFC drawings as per schedule
Drawing Review & Quality Control
- Review drawings for constructability and execution feasibility
- Suggest value engineering options for cost optimization and aesthetics
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and project standards
Stakeholder Coordination
- Act as a link between consultants, site team, PMC, and management
- Conduct coordination meetings and track action items
- Prepare and circulate MOMs
Planning & Scheduling Support
- Align design deliverables with project timelines
- Track delays and elevate issues
Execution Support
- Provide design clarifications to the site team
- Assist in resolving on-site technical issues
- Support preparation of as-built drawings
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain records of drawings, revisions, and approvals
- Support statutory approvals
- Assist in Tender Specifications
- Coordinate for Sample and Make Approvals
Software & Tools
Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering / Architecture
Experience
- 8-12 years relevant experience in residential/commercial projects
Key Skills
- Communication, Project Management, Value Engineering, Risk Management, Complete Project life cycle exposure in Residential Projects, Exposure to Sustainability measures (preffered), Technical and Commercial knowledge on various construction elements
