Job summary

Liebherr CMCtec India Private Limited in Pune, India seeks a Material Planner to manage material availability aligned with production schedules. The role involves analyzing demand forecasts, production plans, inventory levels and supply constraints to ensure timely material supply.

You will lead material shortage meetings, drive corrective actions, and collaborate with Procurement, Production, Engineering, Quality, Logistics, and Sales to align material flow.

Qualifications

• BE/Diploma in Mechanical or Production engineering.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of fabrication and gear assembly.

• Ensure material availability per production schedule.
• Analyze forecasts, plans, inventory and constraints to prevent shortages.

Creating Passion: Your Responsibilities

• This role is mostly responsible for ensuring right material are available as per production schedule
• Analyse demand forecasts, production plans, inventory levels, and supply constraints to ensure material availability.
• Identify risks in the supply chain and develop contingency plans for critical materials with discuss with Op. purchase
• Lead material shortage meetings and drive corrective actions to avoid production disruptions.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Production, Engineering, Quality, Logistics, and Sales teams to align material flow.
• Identify potential material shortages, supply risks, and delivery disruptions that may impact production schedules and customer commitments.
• Escalate critical material issues to management in a timely manner with clear impact assessment
• Conduct time studies and gather data on production processes to determine the most efficient methods and identify areas for improvement.
• Creating and upgrading routings in system INFOR-LN.

Qualification and Education Requirements

B.E./Diploma (Mechanical/production)

Experience

• Excellent time management and organizational skills to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
• Knowledge of Fabrication and Gear Assembly.
• Proficient in use Microsoft office suite of products
• Strong communication
• Strong time management and analytical skill.

Preferred Skills / Special Skills:

• Thorough knowledge of safety procedures
• Strong knowledge of MRP, ERP systems -InforLN, Power Bi etc.
• Must have problem-solving ability.
• Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnight.
• Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
• Work Ethics: Possess a strong work ethic and willingness to get the job done in a timely manner.
