Job summary

Savino Del Bene in Mumbai is seeking a seasoned professional to lead Ocean Freight Operations across the region, ensuring operational excellence, customer satisfaction, cost efficiency and profitability. You will manage Ocean Export operations across branches, drive process standardization and performance reporting to senior management.

The role requires 6–10 years in Ocean Export Operations, strong knowledge of documentation, Incoterms and compliance, and prior team leadership.

Qualifications

• Graduate in any discipline; qualification in Logistics/Supply Chain/International Trade will be an advantage.
• 6–10 years of relevant experience in Ocean Export Operations, preferably within a freight forwarding.
• Strong knowledge of ocean export documentation and shipping processes.
• Good understanding of shipping lines, Incoterms, BL procedures, and export compliance.
• Prior experience in team handling and operational supervision is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Ocean Export Operations across the assigned region and ensure operational excellence.
• Ensure timely and accurate shipment execution, documentation, billing, and file closure.
• Monitor regional KPIs, productivity, revenue, GP, costs, and operational performance.
• Drive process standardization, SOP compliance, and continuous improvement.
• Manage relationships with shipping lines, vendors, CFS, transporters, and overseas agents.
• Handle critical customer escalations and ensure timely resolution of service issues.
• Work with Sales and KAM teams to support customer retention and business growth.
• Identify and control revenue leakages, operational losses, claims, and unnecessary costs.
• Provide regular operational MIS and performance updates to Senior Management.
