Job summary

Vikrant Singh is seeking a dedicated logistics coordinator to manage end-to-end air and sea freight shipments, including import and export operations. You will handle bookings, prepare documentation, and coordinate with customers, overseas agents, carriers, and customs brokers.

The role requires strong communication, negotiation skills, and meticulous record-keeping. You will track ETD/ETA, resolve delays, and ensure compliance with shipping regulations, while maintaining accurate shipment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business or related field
• Strong knowledge of import/export procedures and freight forwarding operations
• Experience with ocean and/or air freight processes
• Familiarity with shipping documentation and customs clearance procedures

Role & responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end air and sea freight shipments, including import and export operations.


• Handle shipment bookings with shipping lines, airlines, and freight carriers.


• Prepare and verify shipping and export/import documentation, including invoices, packing lists, Bills of Lading, Air Waybills, and other relevant documents.


• Coordinate with customers, overseas agents, shipping lines, airlines, customs brokers, and transporters.


• Track shipments and provide timely status updates to customers.


• Coordinate customs clearance and ensure documentation is complete and accurate.


• Obtain and negotiate freight rates with carriers and service providers.


• Prepare quotations and freight estimates for customers.


• Monitor shipment schedules, cut-off times, ETD/ETA, and delivery timelines.


• Resolve shipment-related issues, delays, documentation discrepancies, and customer queries.


• Maintain accurate shipment records and update internal systems regularly.


• Coordinate with the accounts team regarding freight invoices, vendor bills, and customer billing.


• Ensure compliance with applicable shipping, customs, and international trade regulations.


• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, overseas agents, and logistics partners.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree/diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field.


• 25 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, shipping, or international trade.


• Good understanding of import/export procedures and freight forwarding operations.


• Knowledge of ocean and/or air freight processes.


• Familiarity with shipping documentation and customs clearance procedures.


• Good communication and negotiation skills.


• Strong coordination and problem-solving abilities.


• Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and email communication.


• Ability to work under pressure and meet shipment deadlines.


• Strong attention to detail and customer-service orientation.
