Sar Transport Systems in Gujarat seeks an experienced freight professional to manage Ocean freight operations and client relationships. You will oversee export/import shipments, coordinate with Operations, Documentation, Customs and Finance, and tailor solutions that meet client needs and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Graduate/Postgraduate with 3-12 years of experience in air freight forwarding (Ocean-Exports).
• Strong understanding of Ocean Freight.
• Customer-focused mindset with strong communication and coordination skills.
• Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools.
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver within tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Handle key client relationships for Ocean freight (export/import), ensuring high service satisfaction.
• Act as the primary point of contact between the customer and internal departments (Operations, Documentation, Customs, Finance).
• Understand client requirements and provide tailored solutions in coordination with pricing and operations teams.
• Ensure timely booking, space allocation, and execution of shipments.
• Regularly track, monitor, and update clients on shipment status; proactively resolve any service issues.
• Analyze customer shipment trends and propose value-add services to retain and grow business.
• Maintain customer SOPs and SLAs, ensuring compliance and timely reporting.
• Prepare and share MIS reports, shipment KPIs, and customer review presentations monthly/quarterly.
• Coordinate with overseas agents and carriers to ensure best routing, pricing, and transit solutions.
• Ensure timely billing and follow-ups for payment collections as per agreed terms.
