Job summary

PSA BDP in India is seeking a Deputy Manager/Manager-Air Freight to own the end-to-end Air Export operations from DEL. You will drive growth in Air Freight volumes, coordinate with airlines and gateway teams, and ensure seamless shipment execution for customers.

The role requires +5 years of Air Export experience in freight forwarding, a Bachelor's degree, and strong MS Office and TMS proficiency. This is a permanent, on-site position in Delhi."

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• +5 years of Air export experience in a freight forwarding company.
• Strong computer literacy with MS Office applications and transport management systems.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the Air Export business from DEL, ensuring end-to-end operational execution and customer service.
• Drive the objective of increasing Air Freight volumes and utilization of PSA BDP's own-stock airline AWBs.
• Manage export bookings with airline partners and optimize carrier selection, capacity, and AWB penetration.
• Coordinate with customers, airlines, gateway teams, CHA, trucking partners, and overseas offices for seamless shipment execution.
• Monitor shipment milestones, manage exceptions, and ensure timely communication to customers.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to improve productivity, service quality and profitability.

Job Description:

• Take full ownership of the Air Export business from DEL, ensuring smooth end-to-end operational execution and customer service.
• Drive the organization's objective of increasing Air Freight volumes and utilization of PSA BDP's own-stock airline AWBs.
• Manage export bookings with airline partners and optimize carrier selection, capacity utilization, and AWB penetration.
• Coordinate closely with customers, airlines, gateway teams, CHA, trucking partners, and overseas offices to ensure seamless shipment execution.
• Monitor shipment milestones, proactively manage exceptions, and ensure timely communication to customers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with airline partners to secure capacity, improve service levels, and support business growth.
• Support sales and commercial teams in customer retention, business development, and solution design for Air Freight opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with customer requirements, airline regulations, customs procedures, and company operational standards.
• Analyze shipment trends, carrier performance, and AWB utilization to identify improvement and growth opportunities.
• Prepare and maintain operational MIS, volume reports, AWB utilization reports, and performance dashboards.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to improve productivity, service quality, and profitability.
• Act as the primary operational focal point for the DEL Air Export product, supporting the organization's Air Freight growth strategy.

Experience and Qualifications

• +5 years of demonstrated experience of Air export in freight forwarding organization
• Graduated
• High standard of computer literacy with Microsoft Office applications and relevant transport management applications.
