Job summary

PSA BDP invites applications for the role of Assistant Manager / Manager - Projects. Based in India, you will oversee daily operations across departments, drive KPIs, and lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within scope.

You will mentor operations staff, manage risk and compliance, and report performance to senior leadership. A graduate with significant sea freight experience is essential, with exposure to export/import processes and vendor management.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Graduate in any stream.
• 8 / 13 years into Sea (export / import).
• Experience on import / export process till file closing.
• Technical system / process management.
• Relationship with shipping lines / vendor management.
• Well experienced on OOG cargo / special containers.
• Added advantage if experience on AIR shipment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations across departments to ensure smooth and efficient workflows.
• Implement and monitor KPIs to drive operational efficiency.
• Identify areas for process improvement and lead initiatives to optimize operational procedures.
• Work closely with other departments such as Finance, Sales and overseas offices to ensure operational alignment and integration.
• Lead, mentor, and develop operations teams to promote high performance and accountability.
• Conduct performance evaluations and establish training and development plans.
• Foster a positive and productive work culture.
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company standards.
• Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Provide regular reports and updates to senior leadership on operational performance, challenges, and progress.
• Maintain transparent communication across all levels of the organization.
