Job summary

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. in India is seeking an experienced HR operations professional to manage end-to-end governance and lifecycle of contractual workforce at the plant.

Qualifications

  • Tier-1 or Tier-2 Institute for MBA (HR) or MSW education.

Responsibilities

  • Govern and monitor end-to-end governance, administration, compliance, and lifecycle management of contractual workforce deployed at the plant.
  • Serve as the interface between the organization, manpower service providers, government authorities, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless workforce operations and compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws, codes, and statutory requirements; maintain registers and documentation; drive audits and risk mitigation.

Job description

MBA (HR) / MSW (Master of Social Work) from a Tier-1 or Tier-2 Institute.

Experience

2-6 (MBA) & 4-12(MSW) years of relevant experience in HR Operations, Industrial Relations, Contract Workforce Management, Labour Compliance, or Statutory Compliance.

Job Description
  • The Candidate will be responsible for end-to-end governance, administration, compliance, and lifecycle management of contractual workforce deployed at the plant. This role will ensure adherence to all applicable labour laws, labour codes, statutory requirements, contractor management standards, and organizational compliance frameworks
  • The position will serve as a key interface between the organization, manpower service providers, government authorities, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless workforce operations, statutory compliance, risk mitigation, and workforce governance.
Responsibilities
  • Contractual Workforce Planning & Hiring (Govern and monitor the hiring and onboarding of contractual workforce based on business manpower requirements, Coordinate with manpower contractors to ensure timely deployment of manpower, Monitor workforce availability and support business continuity through effective manpower planning, Develop and maintain manpower deployment dashboards and reports).
  • Contractor & Vendor Management (Manage relationships with manpower supply agencies and contractors, Evaluate contractor performance against predefined KPIs and SLAs, Ensure contractors maintain valid statutory registrations, licenses, and certifications, Coordinate contractor renewals, amendments, commercial reviews, and compliance audits, Drive contractor governance reviews and compliance improvement initiatives).
  • Labour Law & Statutory Compliance (Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws, labour codes, and state-specific regulations, Monitor compliance related to: Contract Labour, EPF, ESIC, Bonus, Gratuity, Labour Welfare Fund, and other applicable Law’s, Conduct periodic compliance audits and identify risks, deviations, and corrective measures, Maintain statutory registers, records, returns, and regulatory documentation, Ensure compliance with applicable labour codes and future amendments issued by authorities).
Preferred
  • Experience in a Manufacturing, Automotive, Engineering, FMCG, Steel, Cement, or Process Industry environment.
  • Experience in handling large-scale blue-collar and contractor workforce.
