Qualifications

  • Graduate / MBA / PGDM in Commerce, Finance, or related field.
  • Experience or exposure to Steel / TMT / Building Material industry preferred.
  • Strong understanding of dealer/distributor management and commercial operations.

Responsibilities

  • Review Debtors Ageing Reports and coordinate with Sales and Accounts for timely collections.
  • Manage quarterly reimbursement of distributor commissions and ensure proper approvals.
  • Analyse New Dealer Appointment Documents and coordinate for commercial clearance.
  • Facilitate Full & Final Settlement of dealers and distributors, including reconciliations.
  • Review legal cases related to dealers, distributors, payments, and commercial matters.
  • Prepare Demand Notices for Late Payment in coordination with departments.
  • Evaluate monthly/quarterly dealer schemes, incentives, and commercial benefits.
  • Maintain dealer/distributor reports for management review.
  • Monitor dealer/distributor accounts, outstanding payments, credits, schemes, and settlements.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Accounts, Finance, Legal, and Management for issues resolution.
  • Verify dealer/distributor documents, agreements, and payments.
  • Identify discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Support management in analyzing dealer performance, exposure, credit risk, and profitability.
  • Maintain records of dealer agreements, settlements, schemes, claims, and legal correspondence.

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and commercially sound professional to manage dealer and distributor commercial operations, including receivables, dealer settlements, commission reimbursement, commercial clearances, schemes, documentation, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review Debtors Ageing Reports and coordinate with the Sales and Accounts teams for timely collection of outstanding payments.
  • Manage and process quarterly reimbursement of distributor commissions and ensure proper documentation and approvals.
  • Analyse New Dealer Appointment Documents and coordinate for commercial clearance as per company policies.
  • Facilitate Full & Final Settlement (F&F) of dealers and distributors, including reconciliation of outstanding balances.
  • Review and coordinate legal cases related to dealers, distributors, outstanding payments, and commercial matters.
  • Prepare and issue Demand Notices for Late Payment in coordination with the concerned departments and management.
  • Evaluate and analyse monthly and quarterly dealer schemes, incentives, and commercial benefits.
  • Prepare, analyse, and maintain various commercial and dealer/distributor reports for management review.
  • Monitor dealer and distributor accounts, outstanding payments, credit limits, schemes, commissions, and settlements.
  • Manage and maintain the Dealer & Distributor Network, ensuring proper records and commercial compliance.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Accounts, Finance, Legal, and Management for resolution of dealer/distributor-related issues.
  • Verify dealer/distributor documents, agreements, payment records, claims, and commercial transactions.
  • Identify discrepancies in dealer accounts and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Support management in analysing dealer performance, outstanding exposure, credit risk, and commercial profitability.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and commercial procedures while handling dealer and distributor transactions.
Required Skills & Competencies
  • Strong knowledge of Dealer & Distributor Management.
  • Good understanding of Accounts Receivable, Debtors Ageing, and Collections.
  • Experience in commercial operations and dealer settlements.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis.
  • Experience with ERP systems; experience in steel industry ERP will be an advantage.
  • Good coordination and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle commercial documentation and confidential information.
  • Basic understanding of legal notices, payment recovery, and commercial disputes.
  • Strong follow-up and negotiation skills.
Qualification & Experience
  • Graduate / MBA / PGDM in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 38 years of relevant experience in Dealer/Distributor Management, Commercial, Sales Coordination, Accounts Receivable, or Commercial Operations.
  • Experience in the Steel / TMT / Building Material industry will be preferred.

  • Timely collection and reduction of outstanding receivables.
  • Accurate and timely processing of distributor commission claims.
  • Efficient dealer onboarding and commercial clearance.
  • Timely completion of dealer/distributor F&F settlements.

  • Accurate evaluation and settlement of dealer schemes.
  • Proper maintenance and analysis of dealer/distributor reports.
  • Effective management and coordination of the dealer/distributor network.
