Job summary

Newtech Precision Products in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to handle breakdown and preventive maintenance of CNC, VMC, HMC, VTL and other production machines. You will troubleshoot electrical, electronic and control-related failures and support machine installation and service activities.

The role requires hands-on experience with PLCs, Servo Drives, Spindle Drives, VFDs, sensors, encoders and control panels, plus the ability to read electrical diagrams.

Qualifications

• Experience in automobile / auto components / precision engineering / machining / manufacturing industries.
• Good hands-on knowledge of machine electrical maintenance and breakdown troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and understand electrical circuit diagrams and machine manuals.
• Experience in preventive maintenance and machine breakdown analysis.
• Good coordination skills with Production, Quality and Engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Handle breakdown and preventive maintenance of CNC, VMC, HMC, VTL and other production machines.
• Troubleshoot electrical, electronic and control-related machine breakdowns.
• Hands-on experience in PLC, Servo Drives, Spindle Drives, VFD, Sensors, Encoders, Motors and Control Panels.
• Troubleshoot Fanuc / Siemens CNC controls.
• Attend machine breakdowns and reduce machine downtime through effective troubleshooting.
• Perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) and maintain maintenance records.
• Read and understand electrical circuit diagrams and machine electrical drawings.
• Troubleshoot contactors, relays, overloads, proximity sensors, limit switches and safety interlocks.
• Coordinate with Production and Engineering teams for quick breakdown resolution.
• Maintain MTTR, MTBF, breakdown and preventive maintenance records.
• Support machine installation, commissioning and service activities.
