Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a CMDB specialist to define, govern, and maintain CMDB standards and lifecycle models. You will implement ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping, ensuring data quality across CI relationships and service maps.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate services, support ITSM processes, and produce governance reports for compliance and audits.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing and governing CMDB data
• Experience with ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery and Service Mapping
• Ability to drive data quality improvements and health dashboards
• Familiarity with ITIL configuration management and governance processes
• Ability to produce governance, compliance reports and audits

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain CMDB governance standards, data ownership models, CI classes, relationship rules, and lifecycle processes.
• Implement and manage ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping capabilities.
• Drive CMDB data quality improvements through reconciliation, normalization, mandatory attributes, and health dashboards.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, network, cloud, and service owners to validate services and CI relationships.
• Support ITSM processes by ensuring CMDB data supports incident impact analysis, change risk assessment, and problem management.
• Prepare compliance, audit, and governance reports related to configuration data accuracy and completeness.
• Identify gaps in data sources, discovery coverage, service maps, and integration quality.
• Document CMDB processes, standards, roles, responsibilities, and operational procedures.
