Job summary

Alike Thoughts seeks a seasoned ServiceNow professional to lead CMDB Discovery and CSDM initiatives in Hyderabad. You will manage day-to-day CMDB activities, ensure data integrity, and drive audits and change reviews.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day CMDB activities including establishing priorities and work assignments.
• Track compliance to policies and procedures and resolve escalated issues.
• Facilitate CMDB audits and change reviews by the CCB.
• Review changes to ensure CMDB data integrity and proper impact analysis.
• Mentor CMDB specialists and admins on policies and best practices.
• Maintain CMDB data in the CMDB, ensuring accurate recording and classification of CIs.
• Configure and maintain ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping and data imports.
• Generate reports and dashboards to provide insights into configuration status and relationships.

RoleResponsibilities

Managing the daytoday activities of the process including establishing priorities and work assignments

Tracking compliance to policies and procedures and resolving escalating any compliance issues

Facilitates Configuration Management audits

Reviews critical incident outage resolution results and responses and dispositions of failed changes

Facilitates communication and engages business and IT management to encourage configuration management efforts and value proposition

Reviews and approves all changes where applicable

Reviews and approves significant IT infrastructure changes to ensure impacts to configuration management data are properly addressed

Mentors the organization on Configuration Management services concepts policies and procedures

Chairs the Configuration Control Board CCB and enacts changes as directed

Provides and approves all requirements use cases user stories etc

Overseeing the design coding and testing of reports as needed

Collecting and reporting on metrics as required

Identifying and reporting on noncompliance situations

Identifying service improvement opportunities

Mentoring and helping direct configuration management specialists and admins

Updating and maintaining configuration management data in the CMDB including accurate recording classification and identification of CIs

Monitoring data quality within the CMDB identifying and rectifying inconsistencies or inaccuracies in a timely manner

Understand the structure of the CMDB and its alignment with the Common Services Data Model CSDM

Configure and maintain ServiceNow Discovery Service Mapping and data imports Troubleshoot discovery failures and optimize automation

Suggest and develop automated processes to removeretire stale CMDB data and relationships

Generating reports and dashboards to provide insights into configuration status changes and relationships

Technical and Industry Experience

At least 8 years experience in managing and implementing ServiceNow CMDB Discovery and CSDM

Must have Handson experience with ServiceNow CMDB administration and core system functionality

Good Knowledge and experience on CSDM frameworks and implementations

Expertise in Building and Managing Integrations APIs Import Sets with thirdparty tools like SCCM Active Directory and monitoring systems and MID Server architecture

Strong expertise in automation tools such as Flow Designer Scheduled Jobs and scripting

Problemsolving mindset with the ability to identify and address data quality issues

Strong knowledge of ACLs and table maintenance

Expertise in ServiceNow Coding java script business rules client scripts UI Policies etc

Experience in CMDB Performance Analytics application development and ATF is beneficial

Experience on ServiceNow Platform core functionality is beneficial
