Qualifications

  • 0-3 years of clinical paediatrics experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in evaluating paediatric patients and obtaining clinical histories.
  • Perform physical examinations and basic clinical assessments.
  • Assist consultants in diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Monitor vital signs and treatment response.
  • Review laboratory and diagnostic reports under supervision.

A Clinical Associate - Paediatric supports paediatric consultants in providing clinical assessment, treatment, monitoring, and continuity of care for infants, children, and adolescents. The includes patient evaluation, clinical documentation, coordination of investigations, assisting in procedures, and supporting emergency and inpatient services under appropriate supervision.

  • Assist in evaluating paediatric patients and obtaining clinical histories.
  • Perform physical examinations and basic clinical assessments as assigned.
  • Assist consultants in diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Monitor vital signs, clinical condition, and treatment response.
  • Review laboratory and diagnostic reports under appropriate supervision.
  • Assist with prescribed medications and treatment procedures.
  • Monitor patients for clinical deterioration and report concerns promptly.
  • Assist during paediatric emergencies and urgent clinical situations.
  • Support consultants during examinations and clinical procedures.
  • Participate in ward rounds and paediatric OPD services.
  • Coordinate investigations, consultations, and follow-up requirements.
  • Coordinate with nurses, laboratory staff, radiology, pharmacy, and other departments.
  • Communicate routine care-related information to parents and caregivers as directed.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
  • Assist with admission, transfer, discharge, and referral processes.
  • Support continuity of care through proper clinical handovers.
  • Follow infection-control and patient-safety practices.
  • Participate in clinical meetings, audits, and quality-improvement activities.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient and family information.
  • Follow hospital policies, paediatric protocols, and professional standards.
