Job summary

Larsen & Toubro is seeking a Civil/Structural Design Engineer with 3–20 years of experience to analyze and design heavy industrial steel structures for steel plants, beneficiation and mining facilities. You will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and ensure compliance with Indian/International codes, with exposure to ANSYS or NASTRAN as an added advantage.

Candidates should hold MTech/BE/BTech/Diploma/ITI in Civil Engineering, and have hands-on experience in utility systems for steel

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include full-time Civil Engineering degree(s) (MTech/BE/BTech/Diploma/ITI).
• 3–20 years of experience in Civil & Structural Design Engineering for industrial projects.
• Experience in utility systems for Steel Plants, Beneficiation/Pellet Plants, Mining EPC projects.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and design heavy industrial steel structures for steel plants and related facilities.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams.
• Be conversant with Indian/International codes; knowledge of ANSYS/NASTRAN is a plus.

Job description

Role & Responsibilities:

Should have experience in analysis and design of Heavy Industrial Steel structures for Steel Plants, Beneficiation Plants, Mines, e.g. SMS, Converter Shops, Slab Casters, Blast Furnaces, Cast Houses, Stock Houses, Storage Bunkers, Indurating & Pelletizing Buildings, Chimneys, Material Handling structures, etc. Should be conversant in analysis and design of RCC structures and foundations for Steel Plants, Beneficiation Plants, Mines e.g. Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering & construction teams. Should be aware of Indian / International codes of practice and should have knowledge of advanced analysis software like ANSYS, Nastran, which will be an added advantage.

Qualification, Experience and Skills:

Minimum Qualifications: Full-time MTech/BE/BTech/Diploma/ITIin Civil Engineering from a recognized university/institute. Minimum years of experience & Industry Preference: 3-20 years of experience in Civil & Structural Design Engineering in Industrial Projects. Experience in engineering and design of utility systems for: Steel Plants, Beneficiation Plants, Pellet Plants, Mining Projects, EPC Industrial Projects Experience in engineering consultancy, design centers, or EPC organizations will be preferred.
