Job summary

Pan Gulf Technologies Pvt Ltd in Thane, Maharashtra, is seeking a Lead Civil & Structural Engineer to deliver safe, fit-for-purpose civil and structural designs on an agreed schedule.

You will act as a key technical authority within the design team, ensuring integrity and optimization of all civil and structural solutions while coordinating with clients and cross-disciplinary groups.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree, preferably MTech, with 9–14 years of independent experience.
• Excellent written and spoken English with strong communication skills.
• Experience in industrial plants and familiar with IS/US/Euro codes.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for engineering scope adherence to project specs, standards and codes.
• Analysis and design of equipment foundations (compressors, pumps, tanks, etc.).
• Design RCC industrial buildings and steel structures (sheds, racks, platforms).
• Guide junior engineers and check outputs; coordinate with clients.

Position Title : Lead Civil & Structural Engineer

Group : Plant Engineering

Department : Civil & Structural

POSITION SUMMARY

Purpose

To deliver safe, fit for purpose civil / structural designs to an agreed schedule.

Act as a key technical authority within the design team, accountable for the integrity, efficiency, and optimization of all civil and structural solutions.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Accountable for the engineering scope adherence in accordance with project specifications, standards & codes.
• Analysis & Design of equipment foundations like compressors, pumps, static & dynamic equipment, storage tanks, cooling tower basin & sump etc.
• RCC Industrial Building designs
• Steel structure designs - technological structures, Sheds, pipe racks, conveyors, platforms etc.
• Experience of modular steel structures is desirable including lifting and shipping analysis.
• Other civil designs - Design of underground services, roads, civil pipe supports, water tanks, misc foundations
• BOQ preparation for tender purpose
• Preparation of Design basis & technical specifications
• Effectively communicate by email, .ppt or face to face meetings with client, schedule issues and project requirements
• Provide guidance/support to Junior Engineers and responsible for checking /supervising output.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

• An Engineering Degree preferably MTech and work experience of 9-14 years , experience in handling & working independently.
• Excellent written and spoken English and strong communication skills
• Experience of working on industrial plants.
• Must be familiar with an engineering organization, the function of each discipline and how they interact and the function of the various support groups globally.
• Experienced working to Indian and global codes, preferably IS, US & Euro codes
• Experienced working with software such as Staad pro, RCDC, MAT 3D , Idea Statica and capable of manual design by using spread sheet program.
• Experience of designing equipment foundations like compressors, pumps, pressure vessels, cooling towers, storage tanks etc
• Experience in designing steel structures like pipe racks, technological structures, sheds, platforms, conveyors etc.
• Good knowledge in steel connection design & drawings
• Good interface knowledge with 3D tools like Navisworks, Tekla etc.
