Tekskills Inc. is seeking a Structural Design Engineer for steel structures with 3–8 years of experience, hybrid work mode, located in Bengaluru/Coimbatore/Mysore. The role focuses on steel design, calculations, drawings review, and collaboration with project teams in the Power Plant/Oil & Gas sectors.

The candidate will perform detailed calculations, ensure code compliance across IBC, AISC, ASCE, EN and IS, and mentor junior engineers while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–8 years of structural design experience in steel structures.
• Hands-on experience with STAAD Pro and knowledge of codes.
• Experience in Power Plant / Oil & Gas projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform steel structural design and analysis using STAAD Pro.
• Develop and review detailed engineering calculations.
• Review and approve structural engineering drawings.
• Provide technical support during project execution and documentation.

Role & responsibilities

Hiring | Structural Design Engineer Steel Structures

Locations: Coimbatore | Bengaluru | Mysore
Experience: 3–8 Years
Work Mode: Hybrid

We are looking for Structural Design Engineers with strong experience in Steel Structural Design, preferably from the Power Plant / Oil & Gas domain.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform steel structural design and analysis using STAAD Pro
• Develop and review detailed engineering calculations
• Perform Bolted & Welded Connection Calculations
• Review and approve structural engineering drawings
• Perform Foundation Load Calculations
• Work on Power Train Arrangement & Fixations for turbines, generators, equipment, enclosures and inlet/outlet systems
• Coordinate with Modeling, Project Engineering and Sourcing teams
• Handle supplier/vendor coordination and technical reviews
• Provide technical support during project execution
• Prepare detailed calculation reports and documentation
• Mentor and guide junior engineers

Required Skills:

• B.E / B.Tech in Civil / Mechanical Engineering
• Strong experience in Steel Structural Design
• Hands-on experience with STAAD Pro / STAAD
• Knowledge of IBC, AISC, ASCE, EN & IS Codes
• Strong understanding of Strength of Materials
• Power Plant / Oil & Gas project experience
• Knowledge of FEA is an added advantage
