Job summary

Tekskills Inc. is seeking a Structural Design Engineer with expertise in steel structures for power plant/oil & gas domain. Locations Coimbatore, Bengaluru, Mysore; hybrid work mode.

You will perform design and analysis using STAAD Pro, review calculations, coordinate with teams, and mentor juniors. Knowledge of IBC, AISC, ASCE, EN & IS codes required.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil or Mechanical engineering.
• Strong experience in steel structural design.
• Hands-on STAAD Pro/STAAD usage.
• Knowledge of IBC, AISC, ASCE, EN & IS Codes.
• Strong understanding of Strength of Materials.
• Power Plant / Oil & Gas project experience.
• Knowledge of FEA is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform steel structural design and analysis using STAAD Pro.
• Develop and review detailed engineering calculations.
• Perform Bolted & Welded Connection Calculations.
• Review and approve structural engineering drawings.
• Perform Foundation Load Calculations.
• Work on Power Train Arrangement & Fixations for turbines, generators, equipment, enclosures and inlet/outlet systems.
• Coordinate with Modeling, Project Engineering and Sourcing teams.
• Handle supplier/vendor coordination and technical reviews.
• Provide technical support during project execution.
• Prepare detailed calculation reports and documentation.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers.

We are looking for Structural Design Engineers with strong experience in Steel Structural Design, preferably from the Power Plant / Oil & Gas domain.

Key Responsibilities:
