Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior APC project leadership role in India to drive successful execution of large-scale industrial projects. You will lead a team of engineers across mechanical, civil, and piping disciplines, ensuring alignment with project goals and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop APC Project Engineers.
• Support capability growth in multidisciplinary coordination and project execution.
• Conduct performance reviews and create development plans.
• Participate in recruitment and onboarding activities.
• Ensure alignment between team capacity and project needs.
• Manage workload, priorities, and resource allocation.
• Anticipate staffing and competency development needs.
• Support resource planning with PEMs and discipline managers.
• Ensure consistent application of APC project management practices.
• Promote multidisciplinary coordination standards.
• Ensure high-quality project reporting.
• Support the use of project KPIs and performance management tools.
• Support Design Reviews, Design Freeze activities, and Engineering Gates.
• Interface with PEMs, Arrangement, Piping, and Civil managers, and project functions.
• Promote the sharing of best practices across projects.
• Support the resolution of complex cross-functional issues.
• Ensure consistency of project execution practices.
• Deploy Lean Management principles across the team.
• Lead performance management routines.
• Monitor operational performance indicators.
• Identify and eliminate sources of inefficiency.
• Drive continuous improvement and standardization initiatives.
• Ensure project lessons learned are captured and shared.

Requirements

• Technical background in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, or an equivalent field
• Minimum 12 years of experience in power generation engineering or large industrial projects
• Proven experience in multidisciplinary project coordination and team leadership
• Significant experience in a nuclear environment is a strong advantage
• Experience managing complex engineering projects and interfaces
• Strong understanding of General Installation / Plant Layout, Piping & Valves, and Civil & Structural Engineering
• Good knowledge of engineering project execution processes
• Understanding of Requirements Management and Configuration Management
• Knowledge of project planning and performance monitoring tools
• Strong understanding of project KPIs and performance management
• Familiarity with Design Reviews, Design Freeze, and Change Management processes
• Strong leadership and team development capabilities
