Powerstatic Solutions India Private Limited seeks a Lead Process Engineer for the Nuclear New Build engineering organization. You will own the Process Engineering scope, ensuring technical excellence, deliverable quality, and schedule and cost targets across the project lifecycle.

The role requires 5+ years in Process & Control Engineering in energy, on-site experience, and strong French/English communication.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree in Energy Engineering, Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Process & Control Engineering in energy or power generation.
  • On-site experience, ideally a minimum of 3 months.
  • Knowledge of nuclear or broader energy industry; equipment specifications and electrical design knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Represent the Process Engineering scope within the project team and review contracts and risk logs.
  • Develop and coordinate the overall engineering schedule and planning of activities.
  • Lead process design tasks including P&IDs, control logic, and interface management.
  • Ensure deliverables meet contractual requirements and project standards.
  • Support FAT, construction, commissioning, and as-built documentation.

Job Summary

Lead Process Engineer within the Nuclear New Build (NNB) engineering organization holds full responsibility for the Process Engineering scope, ensuring technical excellence, the quality of deliverables, and adherence to schedule and cost targets throughout the entire project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project & Contract Execution – Represent the Process Engineering scope within the project team; take over the project from the Tendering team, review Division of Work, contract documentation and risk log; perform contract review, identify risks and opportunities, and propose technical deviations and clarifications to the Project Engineering Manager.
  • Planning & Coordination – Contribute to the development of the overall engineering schedule; manage the planning of Process Engineering activities; support resource planning at both project and functional levels; coordinate daily with other Lead Engineers across disciplines; ensure efficient communication across teams, functions, partners, and the client.
  • Process Engineering Activities – Lead and perform engineering tasks including process system design (P&IDs, System Design Manuals, control logic diagrams), management of mechanical/electrical/I&C interfaces, nuclear safety and functional safety studies, RAM studies, and interface management with customers and partners; participate in technical meetings with clients and partners related to the scope.
  • Quality & Compliance – Ensure all engineering deliverables meet contractual requirements, project standards, and internal procedures; guarantee timely, accurate, and high‑quality information delivery to internal and external customers; lead design reviews, manage design freeze, and apply design change processes.
  • Testing, Construction Support & As‑Built Documentation – Coordinate and participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) for the control system; ensure quick processing of Non‑Conformity Reports; support construction and commissioning teams on site; coordinate and deliver Process “as‑built” documentation; collect and share lessons learned for continuous improvement.
  • Reporting – Report operationally to the Project Engineering Manager for all project‑related matters; report functionally to the Line Manager for all other topics.
Candidate Profile
  • Engineering degree in Energy Engineering, Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Process & Control Engineering within the energy or power generation sector.
  • On‑site experience, ideally a minimum of 3 months.
  • Knowledge of the nuclear or broader energy industry; strong understanding of multidisciplinary aspects of power plant engineering, including equipment specifications, installation, and electrical design.
  • Knowledge of water‑steam cycles, steam turbine and generator auxiliary systems used in power plants.
  • Proficiency with standard office software tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication skills in both French and English, written and spoken.
  • Strong planning, organising, coordinating, delegating, and supervising skills.
  • Leadership, motivation, and persuasion abilities; customer‑focus minded; conflict resolution skills.
  • Willingness to take responsibility, accept changes, learn, and travel as required.
