• Implement governance, KPI frameworks and management reporting for real-time performance.
• Drive cost reduction, automation of repetitive processes and capital investments.
• Own P&L, balance sheet and cash flow; coordinate annual budgets and forecasts.

Job description

• Drive the transformation from a family-run business into a professionally managed organisation
• Define and execute the company's short- medium term and long-term strategic roadmap in alignment with the promoters.
• Lead diversification of the product portfolio beyond standard automotive Electrical components.
• Evaluate technical requirements, approvals and capital investments needed for production, and build relationships with EV OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers
• Conduct market sizing, margin analysis and competitive landscape assessment for each new product category, sequencing investment toward the strongest near-term opportunities
• Identify and evaluate new product opportunities and new customer segments, especially within the rapidly growing EV and hybrid vehicle supply chain
• Lead expansion initiatives including capacity additions and technology upgrades
• Establish decision-making frameworks and delegation of authority and build a culture of data-driven decision making.

Operational Responsibilities

• Design and institutionalise robust systems and SOPs across Production, Quality, Sales, Purchase, Stores, Finance, HR and Supply Chain and ensure consistent adherence at all levels
• Implement KRA/KPI frameworks across functions to drive accountability and measurable performance, and build management reporting structures for real-time visibility into business performance
• Identify high-labour, repetitive or error-prone processes for automation, build the business case for investment and manage the associated workforce reskilling and redeployment
• Drive reduction in per-unit manufacturing cost through yield improvement, scrap reduction and energy efficiency
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers – Electrical components manufacturers and automotive OEM supply chains - and lead commercial negotiations on pricing, volumes and long-term supply agreements
• Own the P&L, balance sheet and cash flow of the business; work with the Finance team to develop annual budgets, forecasts and management reporting
• Manage working capital effectively given the commodity-intensive nature of the business.

People Management

• Attract, develop and retain professional talent at the middle and senior management levels
• Foster a culture of ownership, discipline and continuous improvement across the organisation
• Address gaps between expectation and execution - building a team that delivers with speed and completeness
• Develop succession depth so the organisation is not dependent on any individual
• Build a culture of cost consciousness across the factory floor and support functions.

Experience:

• 20+ years of progressive leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management role; strong background in manufacturing - electrical automotive components.
• Demonstrated track record of building professional organisations and institutionalising systems within founder-led or family businesses; hands-on experience with manufacturing cost reduction, process improvement and capital investment decisions; exposure to new product development and market entry in a manufacturing context; experience managing commodity-driven businesses preferred
