The Chief Executive Officer – Electrical & Electronics will provide overall strategic and operational leadership for the company's Electrical & Electronics business, with a mandate to build, scale and transform the business into a high-growth, technology-driven automotive electronics enterprise.
The role will be responsible for developing and executing the long-term growth strategy, expanding the product portfolio, strengthening technology and engineering capabilities, securing new OEM/Tier-1 business, developing global customer relationships and establishing the organization as a leading player in automotive electrical and electronic systems.
The CEO will lead the business through a significant expansion phase, with strong focus on revenue growth, profitability, localization, new product development, manufacturing scale-up, global expansion and technology partnerships/JVs/acquisitions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Strategy & Transformation
- Develop and execute the 3–5 year business strategy for the Electrical & Electronics business.
- Transform the existing business into a large-scale, technology-led automotive electronics organization.
- Identify new growth opportunities across ECUs, sensors, instrument clusters, displays, vehicle electronics, ADAS, connectivity, EV electronics and power electronics.
- Build a clear roadmap for significant revenue and market-share expansion.
- Own the complete P&L, revenue, EBITDA, cash flow and business performance.
- Drive aggressive growth through new customers, new platforms, new products and geographic expansion.
- Build a balanced portfolio across domestic OEMs, global OEMs, Tier-1 customers and exports.
- Improve margins through localization, scale, product engineering and operational excellence.
3. OEM & Customer Development
- Establish and strengthen relationships with CXOs and senior leadership of automotive OEMs and Tier-1 customers.
- Lead strategic negotiations for large, long-term platform businesses.
- Develop the organization from a component supplier into a strategic technology partner for customers.
- Expand business with existing customers while developing new global accounts.
4. Product & Technology
- Drive development of next-generation automotive electronics products.
- Build capabilities in areas such as:
- Establish a strong R&D, product engineering and software capability.
- Build partnerships with technology companies, semiconductor companies and global technology providers.
5. Manufacturing & Scale-up
- Lead capacity expansion and establish new manufacturing facilities where required.
- Build scalable, automated and globally competitive manufacturing operations.
- Drive localization of critical components and reduce import dependency.
- Ensure world-class quality, delivery, productivity and cost competitiveness.
6. Global Expansion
- Develop the business as a global automotive electronics supplier from India.
- Identify opportunities for manufacturing, engineering and sales expansion in Europe, North America and Asia.
- Build global engineering/customer support capabilities.
- Develop India as a global technology and manufacturing hub.
7. Strategic Partnerships / M&A
- Identify opportunities for JV, technology partnerships, acquisitions and strategic investments.
- Evaluate technologies and businesses that can accelerate the company's entry into new E/E segments.
- Develop an ecosystem of technology partners, suppliers and strategic investors.
- Build a strong senior leadership team across Engineering, R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance and HR.
- Develop an organization capable of managing rapid business expansion.
- Establish a strong performance-driven and technology-oriented culture.
- Build succession and leadership pipelines for future growth.
9. Quality & Customer Excellence
- Establish world-class automotive quality systems and customer-focused processes.
- Drive zero-defect, zero-delay and continuous improvement culture.
- Ensure compliance with relevant automotive electronics, functional safety and cybersecurity requirements.
- Anticipate changes in vehicle architecture and electronics content.
- Build capabilities around software-defined vehicles, connected vehicles, ADAS, electrification and intelligent vehicle systems.
- Ensure the company's portfolio remains competitive for the next generation of automotive platforms.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 20–25+ years of experience in Automotive Electrical & Electronics / Automotive Electronics.
- Proven experience managing a large P&L / business, preferably ₹1,000 Cr+ and with experience scaling toward ₹2,000–5,000 Cr+ businesses.
- Strong experience in ECU, sensors, clusters, vehicle electronics, EV electronics, ADAS, connectivity or related E/E products.
- Proven track record of building and scaling a business significantly, rather than only managing an established operation.
- Strong relationships with Indian and global automotive OEMs and Tier-1 customers.
- Experience in technology-led business transformation, new product introduction and localization.
- Global exposure with experience in exports / international customers / global engineering or manufacturing operations.
- Strong commercial orientation with demonstrated P&L, EBITDA and cash-flow ownership.
- Should have the ability to operate as a CEO/Business Head with entrepreneurial mindset, while working within an established Indian promoter-led organization.
