Job summary

Idiada Automotive Technology is seeking a senior CAE engineer to build mesh models for interior components such as the instrument panel, center console, and door panels. The role requires expertise in crash analysis, non-linear dynamics, and kinematic joints, with involvement in design reviews and program-level CAE planning.

The candidate will define CAE work content, plan activities, and coordinate with PMs and OEMs, while ensuring thorough communication with the program team and SH.

• Participation in design reviews and CAE planning meetings

Responsibilities

• Mesh model building and assembly for IP, center console and door panel
• Define CAE work content based on requirement analysis with help of his manager
• Plan CAE activities based on input data and finalise product specs with PM/OEM
• Communicate with SH and participate in design reviews with the program team
• Share results and conduct regular reviews with program team and OEM and uphold ethics and management

Job Description:

1. Mesh Model Building and assembly - Instrument Panel, Center Console and Door Panel
2. Knowledge of products - IP, Console, Door Trims, Pillar trims, Latches, Foams, Dog house, Heat Stakes, Snaps, Clip towers, Vibration welds, Ultrasonic welds
3. Shell meshing, Solid meshing skills for complex features and shapes of parts.
4. Knowledge of Kinematic Joints, Connectivity, Attachments their Deg of Freedom, also Kinematic & Dynamic Contacts definition for LS-DYNA Model.
5. Non-Linear-Quasi-static & Non-Linear-Dynamic Impact Analysis LS DYNA
6. Able to build Model for Crash analysis, all type of interior fixation e.g. Clips, snaps, doghouses able to represent appropriately for Crash analysis.
7. Head Impact – ECE-R21 – IS15223/ FMVSS 201
8. Door Trim Side impact- Thorax, Pelvis, Abdomen Impactors
9. Dynamic PAB Deployment simulation
10. Knee impact Static and Dynamic stiffness study.

• Define CAE work content based on requirement analysis with help of his manager.
• Define CAE planning based on input data.
• Analyse and finalise product specifications to be followed for CAE analysis with agreement from PM and or OEM
• Communication with all SH
• Participate in the design review meetings with the program team.
• Share results and arranging regular results reviews with program team and OEM.
