Responsible for preparing and setting up CAE models for automotive seating systems, ensuring accurate simulation inputs for structural, durability,crash and NVH analysis. Focuses on model geometry, meshing, material definition, boundary conditions, and load cases to enable precise and reliable CAE results.

Job Description

• Build and prepare CAE models from CAD geometry for analysis in LS-DYNA, Hyperworks, Optistruct or similar tools
• Define material properties, contact definition, boundary conditions, and loads based on design and testing requirements
• Perform mesh generation, quality checks and convergence studies to ensure numerical accuracy.
• Collaborate with design and analysis engineers to interpret simulation requirements and ensure model readiness.
• Maintain CAE model libraries, documentation, and version control.
• Support CAE correlation studies by providing accurate preprocessing input for comparison with physical tests.
• Assist in CAE workflow standardization, process improvements, and automation where applicable.

Key Roles and responsibilites

• Bachelors or Masters in Mechanical/ Automotive Engineering or relative field.
• Experience in FEA/CAE preprocessing for structural crash, or NVH analysis
• Proficiency in CAe software such as LS-DYNA, HyperWorks, OptiStruct, or Adams.
• Strong understanding of material modelling, contacts, boundary conditions and meshing techniques
• Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional engineering team.
