Job summary

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. is looking for a skilled professional for CAE Modelling to work on Body & Chassis Structure components. Candidates should have strong fundamentals in Strength of Materials, Finite Element Analysis, and experience in the Automotive CAE domain.

The role involves setting up suspension assemblies in ADAMS, interpreting results for performance improvements, and collaborating with testing teams for failure analysis. Proficiency in UG-NX and MSC Hypermesh will be advantageous.

Qualifications

• Strong fundamentals in Strength of Materials, Kinematics and Dynamics of machine.
• Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis and experience in Automotive CAE domain.
• Basic knowledge of Vehicle Dynamics and suspension types.
• Ability to prepare CAE models and perform analyses in ADAMS software.
• Able to generate Modal Neutral Files and assign suspension properties.
• Exposure to physical testing and understanding of test conditions.

Responsibilities

Job description

Responsibilities

• CAE Modelling – Mesh discretization, Assembly, Constraint & Load setting – for automotive sub-systems, primarily components related to Body & Chassis Structure & Closures.
• Can set-up Front/Rear suspension Assembly/Full Vehicle Assembly in ADAMS/CAR.
• Establish optimized suspension and steering kinematic and compliance properties.
• Interpretation of results, comprehending failure modes and providing directions for countermeasures for meeting performance criteria.
• Documentation of results and communication with stakeholders – design, testing – for implementation of failure countermeasures.
• Interact with Testing teams for analyzing failures, correlation of CAE results with physical testing results and making improvements in CAE model.
• Support in generation and evaluation of Value Enhancement proposals.

Technical / Functional

• Strong fundamentals in Strength of Materials, Kinematics and Dynamics of machine.
• Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis and related experience of working in Automotive CAE domain.
• Basic knowledge of Vehicle Dynamics, suspension types & Automotive Body.
• Ability to prepare the CAE model in ADAMS software, perform analysis and post-processing in ADAMS.
• Able to generate Modal Neutral Files (MNF), Rigid body properties (Mass, MOI, CG), assign suspension properties (Spring, Damper, Bump stopper & Bush), output request (Forces, Accelerations) in Multi Body dynamic Sub systems.
• Working exposure in UG-NX, MSC Hypermesh, NCode will be an added advantage.
• Exposure to physical testing and ability to understand test conditions and its representation in CAE.
• Ability to suggest countermeasures for performance improvement.
