The role emphasizes strong communication, the ability to multitask and coordinate with multiple departments, and a proactive approach to solve problems during fast-paced shifts.
When you work in Hawaii, in addition to learning about the functional aspects of running a hotel—like the proper way to make a bed or how to best handle luggage—it’s critically important to understand Hawaiian culture and the spirit of ‘ohana, or ‘family.’ When opening the first Andaz property in Hawaii, our team participated in Hawaiian culture training to help us understand what ‘ohana truly means.

The Butler is responsible to assist the Team Leader–Butler in ensuring that the butler services are run efficiently according to the established concept statement, providing courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service at all times. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast‑paced environment. Excellent communication skills with professional presentation. Ability to multitask and coordinate with all departments on behalf of the guest.
Ideally with a relevant degree or diploma in Hospitality or Tourism management. Minimum 1–2 years work experience in hotel operations. Good problem‑solving, administrative and interpersonal skills are a must. Butler training program certification is an added advantage.
