Job summary

SBI General Insurance invites experienced professionals to join our Agency Recruitment & Development team in India. You will identify and onboard agents, POSPs, and motor-focused partners, while mentoring them to source leads from car buyers and improve renewal productivity.

You will drive private car new business and renewals, monitor policy mix and retention, and ensure compliance with IRDAI norms. Training, capability building, and timely reporting are key parts of the role.

Qualifications

• Identify, recruit, and onboard agents, POSPs, and motor-focused partners (dealer-linked agents, used-car and service-network agents).
• Mentor agents on lead sourcing from car buyers, renewals to improve productivity and retention.

Responsibilities

• Drive private car new business and renewals through the agency network by setting monthly targets and tracking performance.
• Improve renewal retention, policy mix (comprehensive vs. third-party), and add-on attachment (zero depreciation, engine protect, RSA).
• Monitor loss ratio and quality of business alongside volumes.
• Train agents on motor product features, add-ons, IDV, NCB, claims process, and objection handling.
• Conduct regular sessions on digital quoting and issuance tools, and on compliance awareness.
• Ensure adherence to IRDAI norms, KYC, and underwriting guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records and report on premium, policy count, renewals, and agent activity on time.
