Overview
The Business Development Manager will drive cargo revenue growth by expanding customer base, developing strategic partnerships, and strengthening QuickJet’s market position in the domestic and international air cargo segment. The role owns end-to-end commercial development, aligned with QuickJet’s growth strategy.
Responsibilities
- Grow cargo volumes and yields
- Expand freighter utilization and network reach
- Build long-term partnerships with freight forwarders, logistics providers, and key shippers
- Develop and execute cargo sales strategies to maximize load factor and yield
- Identify new cargo routes, industries, and customer segments
- Drive freighter capacity utilization and revenue optimization
- Build strong relationships with freight forwarders, integrators, e-commerce players, and key accounts
- Negotiate commercial contracts, rate agreements, and long-term cargo partnerships
- Manage key accounts to ensure repeat business and customer satisfaction
- Analyze market demand, trade lanes, and seasonal cargo trends
- Support route evaluation and network expansion initiatives
- Collaborate with planning teams on capacity deployment and pricing strategies
- Work closely with Operations, Network Planning, Revenue Management, and Finance
- Ensure seamless coordination between sales commitments and operational delivery
- Oversee invoicing accuracy and timely collections
- Monitor competitor activity, cargo rates, and market dynamics
- Track KPIs related to cargo revenue, load factor, yield, and customer acquisition
- Prepare performance dashboards and reports for senior management
Qualifications
- Experience in air cargo sales / airline commercial functions
- Strong understanding of cargo operations, pricing, and trade lanes
- Proven negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced airline environment
