Job summary

Altre is expanding its Bangalore-based business development team to drive new opportunities in commercial real estate. The role focuses on prospecting, qualifying leads, negotiating terms, and closing deals with strategic clients across various sectors.

You will engage CXOs and decision-makers, coordinate proposals, and work with internal teams to convert opportunities into lasting partnerships. The position requires strong consultative selling skills and a proven ability to manage long sales

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience in business development, consultative sales, client acquisition, or relationship management within a B2B environment.
• Prior experience in International Property Consultancies (IPCs), hospitality, design & build, interior fit-out, project management, CRE, or allied services.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities across Altre's target markets and client segments.
• Build relationships with CXOs and decision-makers across Real Estate, Facilities, Workplace, HR, Finance, and Operations.
• Qualify opportunities based on requirements, timelines, commercial potential, and fit with Altre's capabilities.
• Manage opportunities from prospecting and qualification through commercial discussions and closure.
• Coordinate proposals, presentations, submissions, and internal responses.
• Work with internal teams to convert opportunities and ensure smooth handover of won opportunities.

About the role

We are looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Business Development Manager to drive new business, build strategic client relationships, and develop opportunities across Altre's commercial real estate solutions. The role requires ownership across prospecting, lead generation, opportunity qualification, consultative selling, commercial discussions, and closure.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities across Altre's target markets and client segments.
• Build relationships with CXOs and decision-makers across Real Estate, Facilities, Workplace, HR, Finance, and Operations.
• Qualify opportunities based on requirements, timelines, commercial potential, and fit with Altre's capabilities.
• Manage opportunities from prospecting and qualification through commercial discussions and closure.
• Coordinate proposals, presentations, commercial submissions, and internal responses.
• Work with internal consulting, design, project, operations, and leadership teams to convert opportunities.
• Ensure structured handover of won opportunities to relevant internal teams.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience in business development, consultative sales, client acquisition, or relationship management within a B2B environment.
• Prior experience in International Property Consultancies (IPCs), or hospitality, design & build, interior fit-out, project management, commercial real estate, or allied professional services.
• Strong consultative selling, communication, negotiation, and commercial skills.
• Ability to independently manage a sales pipeline and consistently follow up on opportunities.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, CRM systems, LinkedIn, and business development tools.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in business development.

Preferred Experience & Qualifications

• Experience working with corporate, enterprise, multinational, GCC, BFSI, Pharma, or Technology clients.
• Existing network among corporate decision-makers, founders, CXOs, and workplace stakeholders.
• Experience selling complex services and managing long sales cycles.
• Exposure to commercial real estate, workplace strategy, design & build, project management, or related sectors.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Real Estate, Hospitality, Architecture, Engineering, or equivalent.
