Job summary

Tata Capital is seeking a Sales Officer in microfinance to drive disbursements and growth across assigned territories. You will lead field activities, identify target customers, and support geographic expansion while maintaining portfolio quality and client relationships.

The role involves managing daily/weekly collection targets, regular center visits, and building a strong brand presence among customers in the microfinance space.

Responsibilities

• Achieve disbursement targets with minimum delinquency.
• Identify Joint Liability Group disbursement opportunities.
• Develop and manage a team across assigned territories for market penetration.
• Assess potential client base and opportunities for geographic expansion.
• Manage disbursement, repayment and delinquency with daily/weekly collections targets.
• Follow up on disbursed loans, especially overdue accounts.
• Conduct regular field visits and meet centers and loan applicants.
• Maintain portfolio quality by tracking dues, non-starters, delinquencies and frauds.
• Build strong client relationships and brand presence with customers.
• Ensure frequent center visits and meetings.

Job description

• To ensure the achievement of disbursement targets with minimum delinquency
• Identifying Joint liability Groups disbursed loans, to suit the target customers and geographies.
• Enabling business growth by developing and managing a teams across assigned territories for deeper market penetration and reach.
• Assess potential client base and product acceptability in new regions, areas opportunities for geographical expansion of operational areas.
• Disbursement, repayment and delinquency management, achieving daily / weekly collections targets
• Makes a close follow up of the disbursed loans, especially of the ones not paying on time.
• Undertake regular field visits, Centre Meeting and loan applicants
• Maintaining portfolio quality by tracking controlling Normal dues, Nonstarters, Delinquency, Frauds.
• Build strong client relationships both internally and externally and build a strong brand identification with potential customers.
• Ensuring weekly / daily meetings visit to centre

• Basic understanding about Microfinance business and JLG model working would be preferred.
