Job summary

Tata Capital in India is seeking a Field Sales Officer to drive microfinance disbursement targets and expand customer reach through JLG-based offerings. The role involves field leadership across territories, daily client engagement, and building a recognizable brand in local communities.

The candidate will manage collections, assess new markets, and maintain portfolio quality while forming strong relationships with customers and centres through regular visits and meetings.

Qualifications

• Graduate in any discipline.
• Basic understanding of Microfinance and JLG model preferred.
• Freshers to MF sales experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Achieve daily/weekly disbursement and repayment targets.
• Identify Joint Liability Groups and disburse loans to target customers.
• Manage a sales team across territories for market penetration.
• Assess potential client base and opportunities for geographic expansion.
• Maintain portfolio quality by tracking normal dues and delinquencies.
• Conduct regular field visits, centre meetings, and loan applications.
• Build strong client relationships and brand presence with customers.
• Hold weekly/daily meetings and visits to centres.

Job description

• To ensure the achievement of disbursement targets with minimum delinquency
• Identifying Joint liability Groups & disbursed loans, to suit the target customers and geographies.
• Enabling business growth by developing and managing a teams across assigned territories for deeper market penetration and reach.
• Assess potential client base and product acceptability in new regions, areas & opportunities for geographical expansion of operational areas.
• Disbursement, repayment and delinquency management, achieving daily / weekly collections targets
• Makes a close follow up of the disbursed loans, especially of the ones not paying on time.
• Undertake regular field visits, Centre Meeting and loan applicants
• Maintaining portfolio quality by tracking & controlling Normal dues, Nonstarters, Delinquency, & Frauds.
• Build strong client relationships both internally and externally and build a strong brand identification with potential customers.
• Ensuring weekly / daily meetings & visit to centre

• Basic understanding about Microfinance business and JLG model working would be preferred.
